The Federation of Neighborhoods presents “Criminal Justice in Athens” a free public forum on Monday, March 16 from 7:30-9:00pm at Ciné. Learn about criminal justice in Athens-Clarke County, both as a multi-level governmental system and as an ideal striving for justice, law & order, and due process for all of Athens’ residents. Panelists will talk about their work within the system of criminal justice and how they view the criminal justice ideal.

This forum will try to cover a broad array of topics related to criminal justice in Athens, including but not limited to: corrections/incarceration; rehabilitation, parole and probation; crime prevention; community policing and protection; victims’ needs and issues; and intersections between mental health and criminal justice.

All residents of the Athens area are encouraged to attend this free forum held at Cine, located at 234 West Hancock Ave – call Cine at 706-353-3343 for directions. Refreshments are available at the Cine Bar-Cafe.

The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce offers free parking to FoN forum attendees in their lot immediately adjacent to Cine.
